Server 1-DWC
Position Summary
Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a detail orientated Server 1 ready to hit the ground running and be part of the Food and Beverage team.
Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible in establishing a safe and welcoming work environment.

Key Accountabilities
- Providing patrons with the best service possible in a professional manner
- Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude
- Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility
- Use of . Micros system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift
- Cleaning of tables : clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down
- Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section
- Restocking, cleaning, and organizing of all related work equipment and areas
- Ongoing practice of Serving It Right
- Assist other co-workers as needed & / or directed
- Follow opening and closing server duties
- Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position.
- Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts
- Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment
- Minimum two years cash handling experience in a customer service position
- Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment
- Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
- Working knowledge of computers
- Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines
- Serving It Right certificate
- Previous Micros or other . experience an asset
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
