We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Benefits & Pension Specialist to supplement our Compensation & Benefits team.
This is a fixed term temporary position, for the period of July 2024 through September 2025.
In this role, you will lead and partner with the Compensation and Benefits team to design and deliver benefits and pension programs for Siemens Energy North America.
You will ensure successful administration of our benefits and pension programs through engagement with our 3rd party administrators and service providers, with an eye for continuous process improvement opportunities.
Extract reports and conduct analyses in support of benefits & pension plan administration.
You will support and lead assigned activities associated with quarterly and annual compliance requirements. You will support the preparation of materials for board meetings and leadership team updates.
And you will be responsible for crafting effective communications for HR, managers, and employees regarding benefit programs, leveraging various communication channels including email and internal company communication platforms (VIVA Engage).
How You’ll Make an Impact
You will be seen as a subject matter expert for your assigned programs, and will support the HR team with queries and escalations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or comparable work experience in lieu of degree.
- 3-5 years experience managing and administering Canada benefits & pensions
- A current knowledge of Canada laws and regulations that impact HR, Compensation, & Benefits
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work as part of a virtual team, but effective in self-directed activity.
- Comfortable working in a flexible / hybrid working model, in-office and via online collaboration tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fluent English proficiency required; Advanced proficiency of Canadian French is a plus.
