Role Overview :

We are seeking a QHSE Specialist to join our client’s team to help cover for a 12-month maternity leave absence. This role is ideal for QHSE professionals who are still early in their career, or fresh out of university.

You will have the chance to utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities as an on-site resource working at a local operation for an established global mining corporation.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing QSHE plans, culture, and compliance.
  • Maintain HSE logs, prepare reports, and support risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Facilitate HSE training, meetings, and incident investigations.
  • Provide quality support, including data collection, quality coordination, and management system documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with QSHE policies and legal requirements.

Reporting Line :

  • Reports to Quality & Environmental Manager
  • Dotted line to Plant Manager

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management / Engineering
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Fluent in French and English (additional languages beneficial)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Description du poste :

Nous recherchons un(e) spécialiste QHSE pour rejoindre l'équipe de notre client afin d'assister à couvrir un congé de maternité de 12 mois.

Ce poste est idéal pour les professionnels QHSE en début de carrière ou qui viennent de terminer leurs études. Vous aurez la chance d'utiliser vos connaissances, vos compétences et vos aptitudes en tant que personne-ressource sur place, dans une exploitation locale d'une société minière internationale bien établie.

Que ferez-vous?

  • Participer au contrôle et à l'examen des plans QSHE, de la culture et de la conformité.
  • Tenir à jour les registres HSE, préparer des rapports et soutenir les évaluations des risques et les audits de sécurité.
  • Faciliter la formation, les réunions et les enquêtes sur les incidents en matière de SSE.
  • Fournir un soutien en matière de qualité, y compris la collecte de données, la coordination de la qualité et la documentation du système de gestion.
  • Veiller au respect des politiques QSHE et des exigences légales.

Rattachement hiérarchique :

  • Rapporte au directeur de la qualité et de l'environnement
  • En ligne ouverte avec le directeur de l'usine.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en santé et sécurité au travail ou en gestion de l'environnement / ingénierie.
  • 1 à 3 ans d'expérience pertinente
  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais (autres langues appréciées)
  • Solides compétences en matière de communication, d'organisation et d'analyse
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Office
