Attention: Housekeeper/Cook/Nanny Needed for Homeschooling Family with 2 Children

Hello!

My name is Katie and I’m a 45 year old mother of 2 sweet girls. Carmen is 11 and Frances is 7.

I stay home with my girls and homeschool them because I strongly believe in giving them the best possible education.

I have rheumatoid arthritis which makes me physically slower and more fatigued than average. I feel I can’t keep up with maintaining a clean home and cooking healthy, interesting meals.

So the primary responsibilities of the person I’m looking to hire would be cleaning, housekeeping, helping my kids get lunch and snacks, and planning and preparing dinners.

Some shopping could be involved.

The reason I’m posting on the nanny site is because but I also want this person to integrate into our family as an additional nurturer and mentor to my girls.

I want this person to be comfortable leading, guiding, teaching, and nurturing my kids both under my direction and of their own initiative and creativity.

I would love help teaching them certain life skills like accountability, time management, looking after their spaces, cooking, handicrafts, etc.

I would like this person to be able to stay with my girls while I go to appointments or take some time to exercise, and be able to keep them on track with their responsibilities and school work.

The hours I am hiring for are : Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from

10 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM and would be guaranteed. So if it feels quiet, I would like the person to be willing to take on and / or initiate other tasks as needed.

Some examples could be : organizing an area, planning things to engage the kids like baking or crafts, taking the kids and dog for a walk, etc.

Overall the person I hire must be interested and capable in the areas of cooking and cleaning and understand that those responsibilities will take up more time than direct supervision of my girls.

I feel though, that as time goes on, the care of the home and dinner preparation will become routine and faster, allowing a natural understanding of the needs of my girls and family to unfold, and then there will be ample opportunity and time for a mutually enriching relationship with them.
