The Product Market Manager, Marking & Inspection (PMM) is responsible for all pre-sales activities relating to MULTIVAC Canada Marking and Inspection equipment, including labelling, package printing, check weighing, product x-ray, metal detection and vacuum chamber machines.
This position could travel up to 25% of the time, with 75% preparation and follow up. Normal business hours are 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.
and schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate trade show and customer schedules when required.
The PMM is the main point of technical reference regarding Marking & Inspection equipment for all MULTIVAC Canada personnel.
This position, in coordination with the Pre-Sales Manager and in support of the sales team, will assume responsibility for Technical Sales Support.
Please note that this is not an IT role.
Key Responsibilities
Working with the Sales Team, the PMM will push the sales efforts relating to Marking and Inspection equipment, including labelling, package printing, check weighing, product x-ray, metal detection and vacuum chamber machines.
This includes sales collateral and competitive analysis.
- The PMM supports the Systems and Automation Product Market Manager where required.
- The PMM will review customer specific specifications and requirements and submit recommended exceptions within a necessary project timeline.
- Ensuring that the responsible portfolio specifications and quotations are completed on time, the PMM will also ensure that any additional MULTIVAC or third-party partner equipment specifications and quotations relating to the portfolio are coordinated accordingly.
- The PMM will organize, execute, and support all responsible portfolio trials at customers’ sites or MULTIVAC’s offices.
Qualifications
Education / Experience :
A bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university program; and one to two years in a customer facing role, ideally sales, is required.
A minimum of five years market (product) experience is also required, food industry is preferred. Project management experience is an asset.
Language Ability :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates and Licenses :
Current valid driver’s license, valid passport, and clean background check to facilitate the ability to travel as required.
