What you will be doing
This position is part of the Automation Group and is responsible for the day-to-day service of customer accounts including technical automation sales and support, administration, project management, customer correspondence, presentations, training, and strategy development while sustaining and building long-term customer relationships.
TECHNICAL ACTIVITES / PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
Act as a lead point of contact to address the Automation needs of your customers
Provide pre-sale design and post-sales support
Develop and execute business plans that drive sales growth for your account base
Lead seminars and presentations and provide training to customers
Identify new product / solutions and service opportunities for the organization
Effective utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION
Create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure customer concerns are resolved promptly.
Work collaboratively with Account Mangers, Product Managers and other sales resources
COMMUNICATION
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
QUALITY
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and sales and product support for all product
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Participates on committees and special projects as requested.
What you bring to the table
Must be a graduate of a 2-year technician or 3 year electrical / electronic / computer technology program which emphasizes automation and control systems.
Must have successful experience in Electrical / Automation technical sales
Working knowledge of industrial automation, networking, electrical power systems
Strategically minded with strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
