Job Overview :

The Technical Project Manager seeks to understand our customers' needs, their mission, their success criteria, and ensure that we are exceed expectations in delivering and developing solutions.

A Technical Project Manager leads a team of individuals, or groups of teams and plays a leadership role in scoping requirements with customers, analyzing project goals, and creating a plan to achieve those goals.

They are self-driven and further drive the team members, customer Stakeholders / SMEs, and potentially other third parties to achieve those goals while understanding the client environment and mitigating any limitations to execution.

Technical Project Managers are responsible for managing scope, schedule, and cost while efficiently leveraging agile delivery methodology to manage project teams consisting of business and technical resources.

The EM uses their management and leadership abilities to successfully execute project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate, and drive projects to successful completion, while exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

Engagement Initiation :

  • Partner with Sales Leaders from the Solution design stage through to the completion of the engagement, ensuring customer success principles are embedded from the start.
  • Engage in customer meetings to understand business objectives, identify key stakeholders, and collaborate in shaping the proposed solutions.
  • Initiate regular cadence calls and reviews with key stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed and aligned on the proposed solution, pricing, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team, and Delivery Teams to ensure a smooth execution of the project.
  • Engage in quarterly reviews, gathering inputs from various teams and stakeholders, and documenting lessons learned to continuously improve customer engagement processes

Delivery & Execution :

  • Lead multi-stream technical engagements, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage customer expectations, scope, and project budget effectively.
  • Monitor project lifecycle, addressing issues, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery within set parameters.

Leadership :

  • Coach, mentor, and guide teams to align project goals with customer business objectives.
  • Promote agility, speed, and scale in project execution.

Communication :

  • Offer exemplary written and verbal communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver both executive-level and detailed status reports tailored to the audience.
  • Lead and coach other managers in refining their communication approach and skills.

Team Building & Development :

  • Foster a cohesive team environment, addressing team dynamics and building relationships across all engagement levels.
  • Showcase excellent people management skills, influencing outcomes even without direct authority.
  • Mentor junior engagement managers, fostering the development of Intuitive's future leadership.

Customer Centricity :

  • Take proactive measures to exceed customer expectations.
  • Recognize and adapt to cultural nuances, ensuring optimal customer relationships.
  • Travel to client locations as needed to ensure the highest quality of service delivery.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience leading the delivery of enterprise-level IT consulting projects.
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a ScrumMaster across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • A thorough grasp of software development / engineering lifecycle.
  • PMP, SCRUM / Agile, or SAFe certification.
  • Direct experience implementing AWS / GCP / Azure services.
  • Led teams and engagements utilizing agile approaches, values, and principles as well as the Scrum framework.
  • Understands the value proposition of the public cloud and has delivered cloud engagements (IaaS, PaaS, Saas)
  • Experience with Agile and Project Management (APM) toolsets (Jira, Service Now, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-facing environment.
  • Managed complex technical projects / workstreams consisting of 8 or more people.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional understating of Data Centers, Mid-Range infrastructures, Cabling, and Networking (IP Schema, Routing, and Switching products)
  • Understating of Routing and Switching, MPLS, SD-WAN, SDN Technology, Network Security - Firewalls, IDS / IPS, Proxy
  • Understanding of Security (IDS and Firewalls), blades enclosure, Backup, Storage & Server OS
  • Understanding of VMware Infrastructure (vCenter, vMotion, DRS Clusters, VM Converter, NSX-VtoT, Realize)
  • Understanding of Vulnerability Management Processes.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Network, system, and application-level security issues.
  • Knowledge of the API Led connectivity approach
  • AWS / GCP / Azure cloud certifications.
