Qualifications
- Minimum of a Child & Youth Worker Diploma, or equivalent, is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience working in the field of childrens mental health.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and engagement skills.
- Advance knowledge of group dynamics is required.
- Computer literacy and effective report writing abilities.
- Working knowledge of evidence informed therapy models and techniques, and the ability to work with families in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Familiarity with fundamentals of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Parent Management training, Role Play and Behaviour Management.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
- Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
