SME Commercial Marketer
The SME commercial marketer's primary responsibility is to design, secure, and deliver the best insurance program and professional expertise for our wide range of insurance clients, including small to mid-size and large accounts.
They work on an assigned book of insurance clients and liaise with our clients, producers, and underwriters to assess client risk exposures and insurance needs.
They will work on identifying insurance coverage gaps, upsell / cross-sell, prepare accounts for marketing submissions, binders, and proposals, and coordinate with our insuring partners.
Qualifications Required :
- RIBO license, active and in good standing, is required
- Minimum three years of commercial insurance brokerage experience
- Strong technical insurance knowledge in placement of all classes of insurance, including specialty products and placement for mid-large multi-line accounts ranging from niche and $50,000 to $1 million in premium, as well as US and International risks
- Some knowledge of specialty products a / o segment needs would be an asset (e.g. Cyber, D&O, E&O, etc.)
- Other industry qualifications, such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc., would be considered an asset
- Post-secondary education would be considered an asset

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Organized with effective time management skills
- Self-directed and able to coordinate multiple placements for large multi-line accounts
- Ability to use creativity in structuring product proposals and documentation
- Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, EPIC, Applied Systems (TAM, Applied Rater) and PolicyWorks required
