Responsibilities

• Receive freight requests by telephone, e-mail or other means from customers, the underwriting department and sales representatives.
• Process information received in order to find a carrier covering that region
• Negotiate travel conditions and rates with carriers, in order to obtain the best service at the best price.
• Monitor transport movements carried out by carriers
• Research, identify and develop commercial links with transport companies likely to carry out transport in the regions.
• Maintain links with carriers and tariff agreements.
• Track all movements to ensure that all documents required for invoicing and proof of delivery are on hand.
• Carry out any other tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• Good knowledge of the territory (asset)
• Degree in transportation and logistics / supply chain (asset)
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
