The Surrey School District is seeking to fill a vacancy in our HVAC / mechanical team! Whether you’re a seasoned HVAC Controls Technician seeking work life balance or if you’re a new graduate with experience in a variety of HVAC controls systems- we invite you to apply! Reporting to the Foreperson of the HVAC / Mechanical group within the Facilities Division, the successful applicant will be responsible for the operation, programming, repair and scheduled maintenance of building heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) DDC control systems in over 140 school district sites and offices.
The ideal applicant will have strong computer skills and familiarity working with direct digital, pneumatic, and electric controls and computerized maintenance management systems.
The applicant will have knowledge of building mechanical / electrical systems and devices. Individuals should list those systems with which they have worked with in their letter of application.
The Surrey School District prides itself on providing our facilities staff with excellent work-life balance. This HVAC Controls Technician position works 7 : 00 to 3 : 00, Monday to Friday, however shift times may vary with some afternoon work.

Applicants must have : Certification as an Instrument and Controls technician 3-5 years of related experience. Equivalent education and / or relevant experience in the HVAC controls industry will be considered A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred This is a unionized position that offers an hourly wage rate of $39.
