Ready to bring your best?Overview of the role : As a member of the Maintenance team, the Instrumentation Mechanic will be part of routine / preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of the manufacturing equipment and building.

How you will make contributions that matter... Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.

Installation and repair servicing of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers and control valves.

Perform daily preventative maintenance by inspecting and testing the instruments and systems in use. These types of instruments are typically used for controlling factors such as : flow of gases or liquids;

temperature of materials or stages of a process; pressure maintained during a process, or level of a material used or created during a process.

Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers specifications and troubleshoot and tune industrial processes.

Many of the instruments that they maintain are key to automating part of a manufacturing process.Commissioning and performing other duties as required.

Some heavy lifting.You are best suited for the role if you Certified Red Seal Journeyman Instrument Mechanic.Excellent communication and leadership skills required.

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training and experience would be an asset. Excellent mechanical skills and ability to carry out general plant / equipment maintenanceFood industry or high speed packaging experience.

Demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills and analytical skills.A high level of self-motivation and initiative. Proven proficiency and dependability in current position with a good safety record.
