What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Head, Treasury & Cash Management Corporate Client Group ( CCG ), you will achieve business results through sales and market leadership, implementing and leading the strategic direction and representation for top tier Corporate, Public Sector, Insurance and Financial Services entities.
You are accountable for : the overall performance of the regional sales teams, including maximizing Treasury and Cash Management (TCM) revenue growth;
the overall profitability of the Canadian Banking TCM Portfolio; and the improvement in productivity and capability of the team through focused sales routines and coaching.
You will : support the development and introduction of comprehensive national business, marketing and sales plans; create an environment for strategic portfolio growth;
and play a significant role in the development of new products while balancing regulatory and risk exposure.
What will you do?
Deliver on the strategic business priorities of growing regional cash management revenue; enhancing client loyalty; and driving innovation with large and complex multinational, domestic, international Corporate, Institutional and Public Sector entities
Develop and present comprehensive national and regional business plans and marketing strategies that support Canadian Banking and RBC initiatives, growing revenue streams with Strategic Tier 1, Solutions and Transactional client segments of the portfolio
Review and approve all pricing, structure, and client risk requests from Directors / Relationship Managers and ensure all pricing is within guidelines
Champion client experience initiatives and apply a continuous improvement approach to achieve superior client service levels
Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to ensure employees are effectively managing their regional portfolio of clients, maximizing the growth from prospect pipelines, managing portfolio risk and sharing regional best practices
Support and coach management teams to ensure internal and external prospect networks are developed and that new business opportunities are fully explored
Maximize sales force capability by ensuring necessary skills, competencies and accreditations meet RBC standards and market needs
Manage relationships between the various RBC stakeholders including Product Management, GTO, Capital Markets, Risk Management and alliance partners
Play a critical role in product innovation, enhancement and development by sharing competitive intelligence and challenging team members to find innovative solutions to ensure RBC is winning in the market
Accountable for controlling risk profile of portfolio through a disciplined management approach to proactively identifying deteriorating client situations, and where required, develop and execute risk management strategies
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
University / College education or professional designation equivalents (Masters is an asset)
Minimum of 15 years work experience within a senior management / sales role along with previous knowledge of various Cash Management Products
Strong leadership, management skills with the ability to lead business and strategic priorities which are critical to product and revenue growth
Superior impact and influence skills to interact at the executive management level with a proven track record of building strong relationships and working collaboratively across business functions
Extensive and proven skills relating to large client relationship management; sensing emerging industry trends; and the ability to speak to broader RBC strategies, relevant industry / legislative matters
Proven negotiation skills in complex client scenarios and the ability to work with executive level stakeholders both internally and clients within the portfolio
Nice-to-have
Strong knowledge and understanding of credit concepts and structures, CCG TCM product offerings and RBC risk policies
Knowledge of the RBC Cash Management Products
