Plasman, Global Headquarters, is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as :

IT Technician

The IT Technician will organize, monitor, and assist in the activities of the I.T. department at Plasman

Key Responsibilities include :

• Performs first level contact assistance for employees requiring IT Support (phone, email or web).
• Responds to user requests and problems, performs the initial problem analysis, documentation and Helpdesk ticket entry as required.
• Generates and labels helpdesk requests in the helpdesk software, monitors response times and time to close tickets, escalates tickets to appropriate IT personnel as required to solve the user problem.
• Provides support for Desktop, Laptop, Cell phones and Microsoft Office 365.
• Supports WebEx, Conference calling, Skype for Business and Video Conferencing
• Supports Email / Microsoft Outlook, Barracuda Spam Filters and internet filters
• Stages and recycles PC / laptops and high end workstations. Manages desktop / laptop images library and increases turnaround time for new and recycled PC's, laptops and workstations.

Builds new images for new models of PC / laptops and high end workstations.

• Leads the training and on-boarding of PC's, laptops, cell and desktop phones for all new and departing employees and users changing positions or locations.
• Creates and maintains teleconference bridges and Webex accounts.
• Confirms that IT supplies are ordered and tracks existing stock.
• Assists with Asset Management and PC refresh planning.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and materials
• Maintains TrackIT Helpdesk and IMAC databases and provides monthly helpdesk metric reports.
• Tracks user problem trends; makes recommendations for improvement
• During management system audit events, provides evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures, and participate in corrective action activities as necessary.
• Ensures personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO / TS

MINIMUM EDUCATION / OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS :

• Must possess a post-secondary diploma or equivalent in the field of Information Technology
• Certifications : Microsoft MCP or CompTIA A+

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

• Must have at least 1-3 year of experience in information technology in a help desk capacity.
• Experience supporting end users, Active Directory, LAN / WAN, Windows Operating Systems, MS Office 365, PC Workstations / Laptops / Tablets & Smart Phones
