Job Description

The Corporate Quality Assurance Food Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in the Cavendish Farms Corporate Quality Assurance Team as they will lead the development of food safety and regulatory management practices throughout all levels of the Cavendish Farms organization ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement company policies, programs, standards, and procedures related to food safety and quality assurance with a focus on prevention, early detection, and waste reduction;

ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Working with Marketing, Tech Sales, or R&D on Special Project Research (new developments and opportunities)
  • Work with the site operations to develop science-based validation.

Qualifications

  • Education Required : Post-Secondary Education in Science, Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or Biology
  • Years of Experience Required : 5+ years of relevant Quality Assurance Management
  • Experience and or certification in HACCP / GFSI system management Food production experience, in quality assurance, microbiology or engineering
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and to multitask with a "Can Do" attitude

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world.

We have two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB and another in Jamestown, ND. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, the company also operates an appetizer plant in Wheatley, ON and has sales office locations in Toronto and Boston.
