Our client has an immediate opening for a hands-on IT Manager to join their team in Vancouver.

In your new role as an IT Manager, you will work with a portfolio of companies in 4 locations and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s overall IT infrastructure and strategy.

This role is a combination of creating IT strategy as well as hands on day-to-day IT Infrastructure support.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Manage IT infrastructure for multiple office & site locations using M365 as the foundation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware / software components, including procurement.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure robust data security, compliance and execute backup strategies.
  • Manage and set up user accounts in a diverse setting.
  • Perform audits for IT policy compliance.
  • Tailor IT solutions to meet the needs of a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Provide training and support to users with varying skill levels.
  • Create, document, and communicate disaster planning.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on IT industry trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Job duties will vary depending on projects and as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, particularly in a fast-paced, multi-site context.
  • Relevant college or university education.
  • Knowledge on training tools such as KnowB4.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint and Teams.
  • Awareness of security tools, with a proactive approach to their implementation and utilization.
  • Intune and Azure experience.
  • ERP experience with Viewpoint ERP, Jonas and Procore considered an asset.
  • Preferred certifications : MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA A+.
  • Experience in implementing backup solutions beyond the default retention periods.
  • The ability to optimize the performance of an IT infrastructure and drive solutions.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior and remote team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, team collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Results-driven mindset, initiative-taking, and strong attention to detail required.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
