We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join our Products team. Your responsibilities will include understanding user needs and defining requirements for the design of our solutions.
You will collaborate closely with our Product Owners (POs) and development teams to deliver user-friendly, robust, and secure portfolio management solutions.
Report to : Vice-President and Head of Products
Main responsibilities
- Perform detailed user needs analyses, especially for complex or market-specific functionality.
- Identify real needs by asking questions to understand business opportunities and define their purpose.
- Work closely with product managers on Agile development teams to translate user requirements into clear, concise, and testable user stories, including acceptance criteria.
- Actively participate in refinement sessions, clarifying user stories and answering questions.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure that the solution being developed provides value to customers.
- Participate in test cycles to ensure the quality of the solution to be delivered to the customer.
- Ensure that all stakeholders have the same understanding of the needs and objectives.
- Assess the feasibility of proposed solutions and their potential impact on existing operations.
- Ensure that proposed solutions align with the product vision.
- Produce clear and concise documentation of user requirements, user stories, and decisions made.
- Provide expertise in analyzing market needs and defining solutions, particularly for portfolio management.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis for portfolio management.
- Contribute to defining product strategy.
MUST BE BILINGUAL French & english
Education and experience
- University degree in finance, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience, ideally in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of database environments (SQL) an asset.
- Portfolio management experience.
Skills
- Solid understanding of the financial sector.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to design optimal business models and technology solutions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Agile collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Understanding of Agile principles and practices.
