As the Global Women’s Merchant / Brand Concept Lead at Moose Knuckles, you will be responsible for identifying important key trends with the ability to translate them into the right product assortment across geographies and channels.
Working with all product categories and with cross-functional teams, you will also be responsible for developing the merchandise strategy for the women’s side of the business in all regions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Chief Global Merchant to develop Women’s global product strategy and vision
- Work cross functionally with Design, PD, Production, Marketing, Buying / Planning and Sales to execute Women’s strategy from vision to execution
- Leverage data and competitive shopping to identify strategic business opportunities for the Women’s assortment
- Assess direct and aspirational competition with respect to financial condition, trends, marketing, and product strategy;
react accordingly to ensure market leadership
- Own the product assortment selection for global markets and channels (US / Canada, Europe, China and Japan / Korea)
- Provide product knowledge support to drive sales and service, and generate excitement within retail channels
- Build out and manage Women’s merchandising team
- Work with Marketing team to create at 360 degree communication strategy for the Global Women’s line
QUALIFICATIONS
- Years of merchandising experience in apparel, with primum / luxury apparel brand
- Have a strong fashion aesthetic and play a role as a product visionary with design team
- Visual merchandising to bring vision to life in stores
- Experience in a global role
- Eye for product, understanding of target customer, and clear point of view around product assortment and business opportunities
- Knowledge of omni-channel competitive set with ability to anticipate trends and drive market share growth
- A clear understanding of financial measurements and how to impact them
- Track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results
- To develop and articulate strategy and perform tactically
- To multi-task and work well within a dynamic entrepreneurial organization
- Smart risk taking and strategic thinking in product and investment strategies
Moose Knuckles is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal and operating in North America, Europe and Asia. Professional French language proficiency is therefore required and essential for all Montreal-based employees.
In addition, the professional English proficiency is also important since it allows to collaborate with the employees of the group based internationally.
