Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources / H&S Assistant to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.

This is a contract position to cover a maternity leave.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain employee and employer confidentiality
• Administer the onboarding of new hires and off-boarding of departing employees
• Provide support to the HR Manager with full cycle recruitment
• Coordinate training for employee and maintain training records and tracking
• Provide general support to employees and management as needed
• Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc
• Assist with review, creation, and editing of policy and procedure for HR and HSE
• Complete and / or assist with HR and HSE Investigations and Inspections as needed
• Record and distribute minutes of JH&SC meetings
• Be familiar Mac-Weld’s policies, procedures, legislation, and safety rules
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate certificate in Humana Resources
• 1-3 years of Human Resources and Health & Safety required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ADP WFN would be an asset
• Experience with ISO 9001 : 2015 would be an asset
• Relevant knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Labour Laws, OHS Legislation

This is a part time position working 24 hours / week (3 Days a week) in our Sarnia facility.

Salary : Starting at $20.00 / hour
