We are looking for an energetic, personable, detailed-oriented Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. We are a private real estate company based in Mississauga with a high emphasis on safety and health for all employees.

Reporting : Reporting to the Vice-President, Estimating and working closely with the Leasing, Design and Project Management teams, the Senior Estimator will provide budgets and cost estimates for new industrial buildings, tenant work and demising of existing space which are relied upon by the Company to make leasing decisions.
This role will also involve direct contact with the senior executive team.
- Responsibilities :
- Preparing budgets and estimates based on schematic drawings and specifications for new proposals and renovations.
- Preparing specifications and scope of work descriptions for new proposal and renovations.
- Assisting and reviewing outgoing proposals with the leasing team.
- Cost analysis of estimates on completed projects.
- Assisting Project and Property Management departments with budgets and estimates.
- Assisting in maintaining a construction cost database.
- Consulting and communicating with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors regarding budgets and scope of work.
- Other related duties as required.
- Site visits will be a necessity so successful candidate will require a valid driver’s license and an automobile.
- Qualifications :
- 10+ years of relevant commercial real estate construction experience in Canada, with a preference to industrial, office, retail asset classes.
- Candidate with either a PQS or designation is preferred.
- Knowledge of local building codes and having a network of local resources will be an asset.
- Previous handson experience on construction sites will be an asset.
- Knowledge of industrial construction methods required.
- Successful candidate will possess strong communication interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
