CLAIMS ADVISOR, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE
The Claims Advisor provides support for claims to the commercial department teams. This includes reporting claims and advocacy for the client throughout the claims journey.
The advisor will also liaise with the adjuster and insurance company on their behalf. The role includes tracking of claims costs, maintaining up to date loss histories, reporting and tracking large losses, and ensuring in and outgoing documentation is properly documented in the broker management system (EPIC).
Assistance with Personal Insurance files may also be required.
One of the keys to success in this role is a strong knowledge of the claims process as well as the ability to effectively assist clients who have experienced a significant loss.
The Claims Advisor is responsible to ensure that our clients receive prompt and thorough service from the insurer while being sensitive to the situation as a result of the claim.
A sense of urgency, quick follow-up and strong organizational skills are required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of related experience in the insurance industry.
- Experience in an insurance brokerage is considered an asset.
- Prior claims knowledge and experience is an asset.
- A RIBO License is required.
- CIP designation or working towards is considered an asset.
