Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for collecting on and providing services for all customer invoices related to freight-related services (AR) and non-freight related services (ASI) including demurrage, customs inspections, etc.
Key accountabilities
- Lead the collection process for overdue accounts with advanced negotiation skills honed through a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including issuing credit notes and adjustments as needed.
- Accurately apply customer payments and resolve complex queries promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and sales representatives to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Utilize judgment to approve shipments based on payment history and creditworthiness.
- Proactively monitor customer accounts against credit limits, taking necessary actions.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in English and French languages.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently, and work under strict deadlines.
- Dynamic, ambitious, and strong interpersonal skills.
- SAP experience an asset.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications, strong Excel skills required.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
