Join a long standing and stable Alberta based Non-Profit Human Services organization with a focus on supporting marginalized communities.
In this hands-on leadership role, you are responsible for the overall operations and leadership of a 70-bed transitional treatment and healing facility in Edmonton that was the first of its kind in Canada when it opened its doors several decades ago, and now is used as a model for other facilities to follow.
A deep understanding of theories, principles, and practices involved in helping people change behaviors through treatment and healing programs is required for this position.
In this position you will administer all Operational, Administrative, Human Resource, and Financial Budgeting responsibilities while spearheading multiple program initiatives and resources for the facility ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and residents, and maintaining the Administrative Guidelines, Code of Ethics, and Policies and Procedures and ensuring compliance with multiple levels of government and their guidelines.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the Non-Profit organization.
You will directly supervise department managers, client services coordinators, administration and office manager, kitchen manager and an overall staff of 30-40.
You will manage and direct staff and ensure the delivery of holistic services and treatment programs with a strong cultural significance for residents while holding the responsibility for decisions related to community reintegration.
Qualified candidates possess a degree / diploma in Human Services with relevant operational management experience in a related field and an understanding of historic trauma and its impact on survivors.
Relevant experience includes working within the legal, corrections, parole, and / or transitional housing systems. Additional requirements;
CSC Enhanced Reliability security check, Criminal record check / child welfare check, and valid First Aid and C.P.R. certificate.
Compensation includes a salary of $85-100K, comprehensive health benefits, 4 weeks’ vacation, and a pension plan.
