We have teaching opportunities across all grade levels throughout the city with the aim to provide Cree Language and Culture education to our students.
With the support of a Cree language consultant, our teachers offer practical strategies for building Indigenous perspectives into the curriculum;
have demonstrated approaches for teaching Indigenous learners; and are committed to building connections with Elders, Indigenous families, cultural instructors, and communities for a culturally relevant education.

School programming has grown from one program in one school to six Division sites offering a Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture program.
Our Division also boasts First Nation Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Graduation Coaches who deliver the Braided Journeys Program at 15 schools, along with Truth and Reconciliation Lead Teachers at every school.
