Position Description
The Residential Business Manager HVAC will collaborate with a senior manager to oversee the daily operations in the regional office, which includes managing business activities, executing plans, and handling budget affairs.
This role involves leading the residential sales team to achieve the annual HVAC equipment sales targets.
You will be accountable for sales and revenue goals according to a quarterly-reviewed plan and will develop and execute strategies to increase market share across all residential product lines.
- Manage daily residential operations in the regional branch, guiding the sales team, delegating tasks, conducting meetings, and implementing senior-driven initiatives.
- Collaborate with commercial sales managers and your Senior Manager to meet the office’s annual HVAC sales and margin goals.
- Formulate and execute sales and market growth strategies to meet or exceed the regional sales and margin targets.
- Oversee the residential sales, marketing, and financial success of the HVAC products in the territory, coordinating sales activities, pricing, and product mix with senior management.
- Train, guide, and support the sales team to meet individual and collective performance targets.
- Establish and maintain sales performance tracking and reporting systems.
- Provide monthly performance, market trends, and other relevant reports senior management.
- Administer the sales and marketing budget for residential business, overseeing annual promotions, campaigns, and special projects.
- Handle customer service issues and regularly report feedback to senior management.
- Oversee continuous product training and educational programs for staff and customers.
- Coordinate with your Senior Manager on regional and national sales strategies and market trends.
- Support the senior product management in launching new products, conducting training, and gathering market intelligence to facilitate product development.
- Collaborate with marketing management to create and implement marketing strategies for the designated sales region.
Experience
- 10+ years of sales experience.
- 3 to 5 years in managing a residential HVAC business.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, particularly with residential systems.
- Professional certification in Residential Sales, Technical Service, or Business Management.
- Proficient in interpersonal, communication, sales, service, and management skills.
