This position is located within a health-care facility, therefore, the successful candidate will be required to provide verification of full vaccination against Covid-19 provided prior to the start date, as required by a provincial health mandate.

The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia Vancouver campus invites applications for up to two full-time non-tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer.

The initial appointment will be for a one-year term with the possibility of reappointment subject to demonstrated excellence in teaching and funding availability.

The successful candidate will be involved in teaching, course planning, course leading, clinical instruction, lecturing and laboratory teaching, and supervision of students in the Master of Nursing-Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) program.

The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024.

A successful applicant will be currently credentialed and an active Nurse Practitioner holding a Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing, and must hold a NP (Family) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

They will have experience teaching nurse practitioner students in an academic setting or direct clinical supervision in primary care practice.

Ideally, they will also have some experience in classroom teaching, group learning facilitation, laboratory instruction, course administration, as well as curriculum planning, development and implementation.

Successful candidate will teach core and / or elective courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, and provide service to the University, the School, and to the profession.

Salary will be commensurate with level of educational preparation and experience. The expected salary range for this position is $125,000 / year to $140,000 / year.
