Our client, a well-established company in Toronto, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to cover a 9 to 12 months period with the possibility to extend further.
As the Senior Accountant, you will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting. If you are looking for a workplace where you have the opportunity to build on your accounting career, we need to hear from you!
This position is responsible for the monthly reporting of the financial results of several entities and preparing the monthly financial package for Senior Leadership.
You will assist in the preparation of related journal entries and manage the consolidation entries according to IFRS and Company policy.
You will track the performance of several entities and manage the related schedules to reconcile to the Balance Sheet. In addition, you will be called upon to support Ad-hoc requests within the Accounting Team in a timely manner.
To be considered for this position, our client is looking for someone with the following qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years accounting / finance experience
- CPA / CA designated (or in the program)
- Must have experience from big 4 (Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC)
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- This is a hybrid role; 2 days in office in Toronto.
