Our client is a public multi-national major insurance / re-insurance company with operations around the world. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant for an initial term of 6 months.
There is a very strong potential for this opportunity to either extend longer and / or convert into a full-time role.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational accounting and analysis / business support.
You will work with the general ledger and sub ledgers to record transactions and review work. You will play a key role in the month-end / period-end reporting and preparation of financials.
Additionally, you will partner with business units providing value-add analysis.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills / qualifications :
- CPA or in the program with experience in insurance and / or re-insurance
- Ability to go into the office 3 days per week downtown Toronto
