Estimating Manager

Hays are working with a well-established construction company who specialises in residential renovations and new builds. Their focus has always been on quality and innovation, and they take pride in delivering exceptional homes to their customers.

They are currently looking for an Estimating Manager to join their team.

As an Estimating Manager, you will play a crucial role in assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring the successful execution of both residential renovation and new build projects.

Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to delivering high-quality construction services to our clients.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and complete estimating process for residential home renovations and builds, including ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
• Review and analyze project documents to identify and communicate scope, pricing, and risks.
• Implement and maintain systems and procedures for estimating and purchasing, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on progress, issues, and recommendations.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating.
• Prior experience with a residential renovation company is an asset.
• This position is suitable for candidates who are currently at a similar level, or for those who are prepared to take a step up into this role.

Experience managing or mentoring other estimators.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
