EBCis actively seeking a Quality Manager for our Vancouver divisionwhere they will utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute tothe continued success and growth of the organization.

Thesuccessful candidate will be stationed at the project site in theVancouver area. The Quality Manager will be responsible forplanning leadership coordination and management of QMSimplementation on the project.

This position reports to theDirector ofQuality.

Underthe direction of the Director of Quality it is the Quality Managersresponsibility for managing all aspects of the quality processesand programs and ensure the timely completion and meeting ofexpectations for all Qualityrelated projects and elements whilemaintaining longterm stakeholder relationships and managing andmentoring junior quality staff and other teampersonnel.

Keyfunctions include involvement in regulatory QMS audits review andupdate of the QMS development and implementation of new QualityProcess documents management of KPIs and lessons learned and bestpractices.

The incumbent maintains a relentless focus on qualityand continuous improvement with the vision of meeting and exceedingcustomer needs and expectations and is highly proficient with thetechnical leadership and communication skills required to manage acomplex QMS withautonomy.

EssentialFunctionsinclude :

  • Ensurethat the quality processes are in place and refined to providefinal closeout ofprojects;
  • Maintainrelationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers andother key project personnel to verify that the quality of thesupplied materials / services can be reasonablyassured;
  • Developand communicate the performance standards and metrics by which thequality will bemeasured;
  • Assistwith the oversight of development and implementation of anorganizational and responsibility matrix for the Qualityteam;
  • Initiateand assist with the development of new quality protocols andprocesses;
  • Establishand implement KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for monitoring theQuality system implementation andeffectiveness;
  • Maintainaccountability for communicating leading and lagging KPIs to theorganization;
  • Developregular status reports for the client and the Quality Directordetailing status of QMS and recommending actions to betaken;
  • Establishand maintain relationships with the project consultants clientsvendors and key specialist subcontractors as well as otherstakeholders such as design teams suppliers and user groups thatreflect and support Graham corevalues;
  • Actin a manner of integrity that shows support for the company itsvalues and the employees while maintaining constant focus onmeeting or exceeding customer requirements andexpectations;
  • Executewritten correspondence to external parties (clients partnersgovernment agencies etc.) on behalf of thecompany;
  • Presentinformation / reports to senior business unitleaders;
  • DemonstrateHSE and Quality behaviours that reflect corporate expectations ofZero IncidentCulture.

Requirements

  • Degreein Construction Management Engineering Business or a related fieldis preferred or a combination of relevant trainging andexperience;
  • Minimumof 10 years of experience. Depending on project size scope andcomplexity the years of experience may vary and may require anability to assist with more than one project at atime;
  • Completionof 1 or 2 largescale projects as a Quality Manager and / orexperience managing a large organization sQMS;
  • Shallbe certified as a quality professional from a certifying body as aminimum successful completion of an ISO 9001 Lead AuditorCourse;
  • Excellentorganizational and planningskills;
  • Experienceand acumen required to anticipate client requirements workproactively regarding risk and claim management and work with fullautonomy;
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills;
  • Superiorpresentation skills and verbal / written communicationskills;
  • Provenrelationshipbuilding and business developmentskills;
  • Superiorleadership skills with ability and willingness to face challengessolve problems and motivate others while maintainingeffective relationships withcustomers.
  • Proficiencyusing a computer and communication tools such as email the internetand Microsoftproducts;
  • Bilingual(an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellentcommunication skills (written and verbal) isrequired.
