Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking for a Warehouse Director for our office located in LaSalle. The person selected will be responsible to evaluate, manage and improve all warehousing, shipping & receiving and yard activities of Fuel’s network in North America.

This role is accountable to ensure that Fuel’s warehouses are compliant and respect safety regulations while operating productively and profitably.

Job Summary :

• Provide tactical direction and oversight to warehouse management team, processes, systems and optimization of the warehouse / distribution center.
• Develop strategic and operational plans to outline and execute Fuel’s warehousing objectives and identify capital budgets to forecast expectations in conjunction with all warehousing activities.
• Strive to enhance customer service, profitability and efficiency of Fuel’s warehousing network, shipping and receiving as well as yard activities.
• Manage distribution and logistics costs, quality service, safety, compliance and performance over the short and long-term while mitigating risk.
• Participate in and contribute to corporate initiatives and projects, most specifically the implementation of Fuel’s warehouse management system, ensure its utilization and develop optimal warehouse layouts, efficient yard management and security protocols for all Fuel’s premises.
• Evaluate, research, qualify and negotiate strategic business agreements to strengthen and support the efficient expansion of Fuel’s warehousing network.
• Oversee all aspects of shipping, receiving and inventory management to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Identify improvement opportunities via establishing processes, identifying value added KPIs and promoting solutions to successfully address these opportunities.
• Monitor and report on mutually agreed upon KPI’s and make necessary adjustments to correct action and achieve desired expectations, in collaboration with management team.
• Provide internal customer service and manage special projects / requests from other departments.
• Maintain and upgrade the highest standards of health and safety, hygiene and security protocols and practices for all warehousing and yard activities.
• Develop, coach, and mentor key talent to build a world-class distribution and logistics organization.
• Maintain harmonious business relations with suppliers, carriers and clients.

Education & Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, transportation management or business with at least 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical experience in improving global warehousing activities such as; processes, protocols, work flow efficiency, health and safety, security, warehouse layout optimization and Warehouse Management System’s implementation.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English (fully bilingual is preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required.
• Advance knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
