Senior 3D Artist - Blight: Survival

This role is part of our business unit working on original games. These teams focus on the creation, development, and maintenance of Behaviour-owned IPs such as Dead by Daylight and Meet Your Maker and other unannounced titles in development.
Behaviour Interactive is partnering with Haenir Studio to develop and publish their hotly anticipated debut IP, Blight : Survival.
The game takes place in the no man’s land between two desperate kingdoms locked in a ceaseless war. Within this realm of death and decay, a new strain of Blight has erupted from the remains of the fallen.
Fed and strengthened by the blood that’s been spilled, it rapidly spreads turning man into monster. In this role you will :
- Create the various elements required by the production of the game including textures and materials;
- Ensure optimal game performance by understanding and respecting the technical guidelines and optimizing of artistic elements, while achieving the desired visual quality;
- Communicates with other departments to understand their needs and requirements.
What we're looking for :
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the video game industry;
- Mastery of the modeling component of the Autodesk Maya and Blender softwares (relevant experience with other similar software will be considered);
- Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer;
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine;
- Understanding of PBR techniques (physically based rendering) is an asset;
- Portfolio demonstrating skills in creation of 3D models, textures, UV unfolding and lighting;
- Traditional drawing is an asset;
- A portfolio is mandatory with your application;
- You are comfortable communicating and drafting documents in French and English (the vast majority of contracts are in English).
