JOURNEYPERSON and APPRENTICE CARPENTER REQUIRED :
Journeyperson Roles and Responsibilities :
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Checks accuracy of works and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and takes pride of ownership.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Fall Pro Required ESC OSSA (in-class only)
- Experience with ESC AWP / EWP is an asset.
