Facilities Building Operator

The position requires a confident, strong interpersonal individual with communication skills who has the ability to develop, and maintain relationships with Business Unit Staff / clients, vendors, and service providers.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure our offices and cafeteria spaces are maintained in accurate working order.
The position will be supporting the day-to-day operations, general maintenance and repairs for our Markham, Oakville, and Toronto locations while coordinating the general facility maintenance of our 10 other offices across Canada.
Taking a proactive approach in identifying areas in need of repair including and not limited to HVAC, systems furniture build outs, reconfiguration and dismantle of workstations.

What you’ll do :
Respond, action and maintain requests through general inbox and FaST system
Coordinate Contractor for BAU repairs and schedule maintenance
Coordinate, and supervise minor projects
Perform routine and preventative maintenance work
Coordinate the set up and configuration for our larger conference / group meeting spaces
Set up the smaller meeting room furniture as the need arises
Regularly lift, move and carry equipment, furniture and supplies up to 22 kg (50 lb.) alone, or if heavier, with assistance of co-workers or aids
Practice all safety and emergency procedures
Maintain WHMIS labels and MSDS updates related to caretaking products
Up to 10% travel

Proven experience in similar roles (5 or more years)
Large commercial office building operation
Post-secondary education (College diploma)
