New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking an Intermediate QA Test Analyst to help our client manage and develop comprehensive test plans, execute test processes and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
Responsibilities :
- Managing and developing test plans for each project assigned, identifying tasks, dependencies and participants required to execute the test plan, including obtaining analyst, business and other stakeholder inputs and support.
- Ongoing review and readjustment of each technology implementation test plan to accommodate changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Develop status reports for the project and provide to management.
- Preparing / updating the metrics dashboard at the end of a testing phase or at the completion of a project.
- Provide artifacts for the projects Steering Committee status reports.
- Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, and ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each project.
- Follow the test processes as set out by the organization, ensuring the required test plan, scripts, and tools are in place before test execution.
- Provide ongoing management of test environment and test tools, such as TestRaiI, during test execution and change requests.
- Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time.
- Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each project, working in collaboration with multiple vendors, internal teams, and multiple application streams.
- Ensure test documentation is completed as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is recorded and maintained to company standards.
- Lead, guide, and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test scripts.
- Work with multiple teams to support the development of testing scripts inclusive of the workflows for project-based User Acceptance Testing.
- Updating and maintaining the new consolidated SharePoint issues log for all projects assigned.
- Working with vendors to resolve identified software issues and retesting.
- Keeping track of the new requirements / change in requirements, escalating issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager.
- Support knowledge transfer sessions to team members.
- Anticipate possible delays in achieving the overall test schedule, identify issues impeding progress and strive to resolve them.
- Regular meetings with project managers to instill confidence about the work being done and to provide escalations.
- Regular meetings with test team to make sure everyone is aware of what other fellow team members are doing.
- Support the preparation of any Risk Mitigation plans if any delays are foreseen.
- Working knowledge of each project application processes and workflow.
- Need to work cohesively with Project, Business and IMITS teams.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Test Analyst.
- 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities & Health Care IT implementations.
- Work experience with software quality control concepts, defect resolution processes and practices.
- Experience developing project test plans, creating, updating, and reviewing test documentation and artifacts e.g., test cases, scripts etc.
- Demonstrated experience understanding testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project and ability to estimate time, resources and budget required to perform testing.
- Experience using modern Test Tools for the purposes of test case management, requirements, inventory, defect tracking, and results documentation, such as TestRail.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with test team members, business analysts, and project managers.
- Multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, analyzing problems and strategizing for better solutions.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take ownership and independently drive progress.
- Ability to adapt evolving technology requirements as they are introduced during the project and applying these into a clinical context to meet user requirements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, process orientation and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of hospital / clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards preferably gained in the Municipal or Governmental Healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clinical and business stakeholders and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Direct experience designing and implementing and supporting testing in a large, complex multi-stakeholder environment.
