Due to growth, they are adding a new Electrical Construction Supervisor (Construction Field Supervisor) to their team.

What you’ll be doing in the role :

• Supervise the delivery or assigned projects to meet budget, timelines and quality requirements, while maintaining a team approach within the Construction group.
• Provide oversight and direction to ensure materials are being received accurately to meet project deliverables within the division.
• Take initiative on engineering issues and minor material needs to complete projects with a quality yet cost-effective final product in mind.
• Work with Project Manager to ensure all major material and engineering issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• If necessary, conduct site visits for projects in the quoting process to have input on labour and equipment needs prior to bid submissions.
• Work closely with other Supervisors to determine manpower needs and calendar population.
• Keep project scheduled updated and ongoing with the support of the Industrial Construction team and project coordinator.
• Represent the company as a positive ambassador externally in the market at all times and continuously explore opportunities for all lines of business and share with leadership and Business Development teams.
• Provide timely and accurate communication of issues and solutions in coordination with the internal team, vendors and customers.
• Communication with all parties in response to their requirements as it relates to proactive communication required to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Manage and advocate with Customers on technical requirements and work closely with them in a coordinated manner to deliver quality and cost-effective projects.
• Actively support field teams to ensure their work can be carried out accurately and at a high standard of quality.
• Perform early performance reviews with the assistance of the HR team.

What you bring to the role :

• Post-secondary school education such as Electrical Engineering Technology or other area of study relevant to electrical distribution and utility industry.
• A Journeyperson license is an asset.
• PMP, leadership and / or other specialized training is an asset.
• A minimum 8 years’ experience and at least 3 years experience in a leadership / supervisor capacity.
• Exceptional oral and written English communication.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail. A proven ability to meet defined metrics, deadlines and results.
• Personally motivated and driven to achieve results.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams.
• High regard for safety and adherence to policies.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving abstract is required.
