Job Description :
Our client is a growing and established manufacturing company looking to add a Director of Finance to their finance team.
The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations of the the company, providing strategic leadership and ensuring the financial health and growth of the organization.
Reporting to the President, this role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.
The Director of Finance will work closely with the CFO and other senior executives to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
The Director of Finance will also provide strategic guidance to the accounting department, which is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Controller.
The responsibilities of the Director Of Finance is as follows :
- Responsible for all accounting activities, including financial reporting, and treasury management.
- Evaluate current financial reporting; make continuous improvements to support corporate and internal management needs.
- Participate in strategic planning activities.
- Lead annual business planning process according to corporate guidelines.
- Manage monthly internal financial forecasts and quarterly forecasts to Corporate.
- Manage all accounting staff / controller.
- Ensure compliance of all corporate, accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Always maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintain strong focus on forward cash flow planning.
- Work closely with management team, providing them with timely information and guidance to manage the business.
- Timely financial reporting, financial cost analysis, and interpreting financial information for senior management and corporate.
- Work closely with company external auditors as it relates to year-end review and special projects.
- Maintain Capital expenditure approval and appropriate level of capital investment according to approved budgets.
- Participate in annual strategic planning process.
- Identify and manage risk.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Controller, who manages the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, annual reports, and other financial documents.
- Oversee internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and projects.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions to inform financial planning and risk management.
- Provide strategic guidance to the accounting department and the leadership team.
- Participate in annual strategic planning process.

Job Requirements :
- Current knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Cash management.
- Appraisal of capital expenditures, planning, and budgeting.
- Interpersonal, leadership, organizational, team player, accuracy and analytic / problem solving, good communicator and motivator.
- Computer literate.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to delegate and manage staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
