The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Quality Assurance Program Manager on a permanent basis in our Maintenance and Reliability team.
This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Step into a key technical leadership role where you’ll safeguard the mechanical integrity of critical refinery equipment and shape complex integrity programs that keep operations safe and reliable. You’ll influence crossfunctional teams, guide QC contractors, and represent the site to regulatory authorities.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and lead complex Equipment Integrity (EI) and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) programs, tailoring them to regulatory requirements, CRC workflows, and risk matrices while creating the supporting procedures, workflows, and documentation.
- Guide and mentor cross‑functional teams, providing technical expertise, influencing strategic decisions, and supporting the execution of engineering work, major projects, and integrity initiatives. This may include attending audits and process reviews of external vendors and equipment manufacturers.
- Manage program implementation and ongoing performance, including training development, process improvements, technology integration, and KPI reporting to measure program health.
- Provide oversite of the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) management program including maintaining of Asset Care Strategies (ACS), reporting & management of KPIs, and development of work processes.
- Conduct and lead audits of EI and Quality Management System (QMS) programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying gaps, making improvement recommendations, and maintaining alignment with government‑mandated integrity standards.
- Support the external regulatory audit of the EI programs including but not limited to the QMS.
- Act as a technical authority and liaison, reviewing inspection and repair plans, overseeing contractor performance, ensuring compliance with pressure equipment regulations, approving temporary repairs, and communicating with jurisdictional authorities such as TSASK.
Who you’ll work with:The Team: You will work closely and report directly into the Manager, Equipment Integrity and will manage 4-8 QA/QC contractors.You willprovide guidance to less experienced team members, contract engineering staff, Maintenance staff and construction contractors. Who you are:You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
- Have 8+ years of relevant applicable heavy industrial or refining experience.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and P.Eng designation (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have National Board (Sask PEI Level 1) or API 510 (Sask PEI Level 2) plus one additional API certification.
