The Assistant Spa Director isresponsible for the daily leadership of spa operations includingguest service cleanliness and colleagueengagement.

Job DutiesInclude :
Reporting to the SpaDirector responsibilities and essential job functions include butare not limited to thefollowing :
- Offer support andsupervision for all spa departments as required including; BodyTechnicians Salon and Aesthetics Boutique Reservations ReceptionFacility Operations and Fitness
- Lead the Spa inestablishing and executing departmentalgoals.
- Direct operations of the facilityincluding short and long range strategic planning for spaoperations.
- Take a leading role in resolvingany and all guest concerns by role modeling professional servicedelivery.
- Conduct development and performancemanagement discussions as required.
- Managetrain and motivate all colleagues reporting to thisposition.
- Serve as a link between the hotel andthe spa industry by maintaining thorough knowledge of competitorsincluding location product offering pricing promotions and salestechniques.
- Ensure effective scheduling of allspa colleagues while managing productivity and guestservice.
- Implement effective staff trainingplans for all areas of spa operations.
- Ensureeffective and timely communication among all spa departments andthroughout the Hotel through weekly / monthly departmentalcommunication meetings.
- Support adherence ofstandard operating procedures and policies for eachdepartment.
- Manage the recruitment developmentand training of all departments.
- Create avisual presence within department for all spa staff via regularfacility walkthroughs.
- Role model all safetyprocedures and practices for spacolleagues.
- Have complete understanding of andadhere to all company policies andrules including those relating to Fire Hygieneand Safety
- Assist in the development ofdepartmental emergency procedures.
- Review dailyproductivity and approve payroll.
- Assistleaders in establishing short and long term goals and review statusof each goal on a monthly basis.
- Ensure thefacility is in peak condition at alltimes.
- Carry out any other duties andresponsibilities asassigned.
Qualifications :
Your Skills&Qualifications :
- Minimumof 2 years experience in an Assistant Manager or Department Headposition in a luxury resort spa or related field isrequired.
- Bachelors Degree in BusinessAdministration or Hospitality / Spa Management anasset.
- Experience in the hospitality industryan asset.
- Human resources experience anasset.
- Previous experience is anasset.
- Standing and walking throughout shift50% of time
- Sitting at a desk computer work 50%oftime
