Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Missisuaga site is looking for a new National Pricing Manager to join our Sea Logistics team.
Your Role
As the National Pricing Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring our continued success as the market leader in Sea Logistics.
The Pricing team owns a customer touchpoint through every quotation, proposal or RFQ that is created. They must also balance a clear understanding of the market and a focused pricing strategy to increase market share / profitability with the National trade team while having a clear feeling for local markets and customers (current and target).
You will report to the National Sea Logistics Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop a clear pricing strategy to augment profitability but consistently strengthens our brand with our customers; both current and target
- Consistent training on tools and platforms available for your pricing team to ensure they have the tools to be successful
- Develop pricing as one national team that leverages specific knowledge of geography, commodity, etc., to build knowledge across the entire group that can support each other
- Ensure that learning & development opportunities are understood for each team member to enhance their current skills and growth opportunities
- Create opportunities for your team to collaborate in various settings
- Connect your team to subject matter experts and resources that support their working knowledge of the market and market dynamics
- Encourage interaction between your team and stakeholders to be part of commercial strategy discussions to increase success ratio for target opportunities
- Build positive and professional relationships with vendors and overseas offices that support the goals of the national pricing team
- Collaboratively develop a national pricing process that is transparent to stakeholders with a continued review for process improvement
- Establish clear and realistic expectations and goals for your team that can be accurately measured
- Develop a consistent reporting process that measures specific Key Performance Indicator's established for your team and is transparent to stakeholders

Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's degree (minimum); MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in sea logistics.
- Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and online pricing systems.
- Experience with freight forwarding, import / export, LCL, and FCL.
- Proven organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage time, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and strong negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of incoterms
- CIFFA certificate is Preferred
