Intent of the process

A pool of (fully or partially) qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements, tenures and security profiles within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

EDUCATION

Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Notes :

Based on their education, training and / or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in providing strategic communications services and advice to management* and clients.

Management is defined as supervisors or above.

Experience in developing and implementing communication plans and strategies .

Communications plans and strategies also includes, but is not limited to : marketing plans, social media strategies, regional outreach strategies, media relations plans and engagement strategies.

Experience in writing, editing and implementing various communications products such as : news releases, speaking notes / speeches, briefing material, backgrounders.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in organizing and coordinating events such as : public events, press conferences, and internal or external outreach activities (corporate exhibits, fairs and trade shows).

Experience in media relations or public relations.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Be willing and able to travel occasionally or when required.

The incumbent may be required to work overtime.
