The contract Data Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing, processing, and validating data to ensure the efficient completion of custom jobs for Broadridge.
Key Job Functions / Responsibilities
Operate and monitor data processing applications, utilizing various command-line and graphical user interfaces.
Escalate problems that cannot be resolved to the appropriate parties.
Submit, retrieve, create, or format various mailing related reports.
Participate in the process of submitting specialized requests for print streams.
Provide file conversion and programming support to prepare data for print production.
Work with internal and external clients to determine file format and data manipulation requirements.
Conduct quality assurance checks on data manipulation tasks.
Conduct QA duties on internal documentation to ensure error-free processing.
Contribute to the documentation of processes on an ongoing basis.
Resolve production related queries.
Investigate possible data issues using SQL queries.
Ensure that data processing deadlines are met.
Participate in custom and specialized reporting for various services.
Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as necessary.
Participate in monthly and annual corporate / external audits.
Make operational recommendations to Management and the Development team.
Keep supervisor informed concerning production issues and esclate when required.
Other duties as required by supervisor.
Basic Skill Level Requirements
Education :
Community College Diploma in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of training and on the job experience.
Experience :
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in the financial services industry (bank or securities industry) relating to management of daily transactional print and production is an asset.
Demonstrated aptitude for computer operations.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle the cyclical nature of the industry and fast-paced work environment.
Has the ability to manage multiple client projects.
Experience with Main Frame interfaces is an asset.
