BRC is an Office Furniture Manufacturer located in Georgetown, ON and we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our high performing team.

THE OPPORTUNITY :
The HR Coordinator will have the opportunity to ensure the effectiveness of day-to-day HR functions and will proactively support employees and managers on the interpretation and administration of policies and programs.
They will have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills and make a positive impact by leading BRC's Social Committee, and participating in our Inclusion and Diversity Committee.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinates Recruitment process :
- Works with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
- Review and evaluate applicants for required qualifications and core values alignment.
- Conduct phone screenings and reference checks for applicants.
- Assist with preparing hiring paperwork.
- Assist in refining recruitment practices and processes.
- Assist the HR Manager to successfully onboard new hires
- Maintain accurate records e.g. hires, transfers, and absenteeism rates.
- Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions.
- Educate prospective employees on company policies regarding job duties, working conditions, safety, wages, career advancement opportunities, employee benefits and recreation programs.
- Write and maintain job descriptions
- Create and maintain organizational charts.
- Assist with policy writing and implementation
- Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.
- Assist with health and safety items as required
- Assist the Inclusion and Diversity Committee with the implementation of inclusion initiatives and events.
- Lead the social committee by planning events in collaboration with the HR Coordinator at our sister company.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
BRC is seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies :
- A University or College Diploma, preferably in business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent.
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
- Highly organized with effective time management skills.
- Excellent inter-personal relation skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety.
