Commercial Litigation Associate
Our Client
Is a Canadian-based international boutique law firm.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and regulatory matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on litigation risks and potential outcomes.
- Assist with estate and trust work as needed, including probate litigation and estate administration.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the legal team and support staff.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ontario bar.
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with a focus on business disputes.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with estate and trust work is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
