Our client a solid distributor, who has been growing in the last few years, is looking for an assistant controller to manage a small team of AP & AR professionals, and oversee the full cycle accounting up to and including production of the financial statements.
You will be reporting to a director of finance CPA who loves to coach people with great potential. Must be a self-starter, autonomous with a great analytical mindset.
Only local candidates will be considered. position is 100% on-site with the possibility of 1 day a week Work from home after the probationary period

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Help maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes.
Qualifications
Min 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably within an SME environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and in Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
