IT Field Service Technician
IT Field Service Technician will provide local ITsupport services for assigned Allegion facilities. This rolefocuses on improving support methodologies for manufacturingsupport in labor reduction cost reduction security reliability keyfeature and technological improvements and integrationsstandardization M&A integrations.
Support of this site includesregular day hours Monday through Friday and off hours support isrequired from time to time.
Primary accountabilitiesinclude.
Be empowered and accountable inproviding advanced technical support and resolutions at a 3rd levelto exceed enduser expectations per Service Level Agreementmetrics.
Demonstrate independent troubleshooting anddecisive problem solving.
Actively participate inassigned projects to drive operational and / or ITimprovements.
Perform root cause analysis to eliminatereoccurring incidents.
Provide immediate technicalsupport and resolutions for highly complex environments (i.e. shopfloor) after business hours as necessary.
Participate inthe creation and reinforcement of standards for FieldServices.
Work with cross functional teams in support ofproject initiatives in defining the IT support scope.
Follow and promote defined ITIL procedures.
Assist withsupport of network server and business infrastructure.
Vet and define proposed shop floor processes in compliance withAllegion Networking and Security policies and standards.
Install technology hardware and software that fulfill projectrequirements according to standards or requirements.
Perform other assigned operational duties.
Candidateshould speak in French language also along with English
Minimum Qualifications :
Aminimum of 36 years work experience supporting Manufacturing andWarehouse environments specifically a high level functional andtechnical working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems(Windows 10 Windows 11) Apple OSX Linux Ubuntu Microsoft OfficeSuites () Office 365 and Microsoft Software (SharePoint TeamsVisio).
Mobile environment operating systems; Apple iOS.Android Windows CE.
Must have outstanding and highlyprofessional verbal and written communications skills and effectiveat communicating highly technical issues in a nontechnical mannerconsiderate of each customers focus and priority.
Experience with PC Hardware troubleshooting
Experiencewith serialbased technologies (PLCs scanners printers).
Experience with handheld scanners.
Basic AudioVisualSupport
Experience supporting label laser andmultifunction printing.
Broad technical IT knowledge andawareness of industry trends.
Operational ExcellenceRoot Cause Analysis process risk reduction security and controlschange management.
Advanced troubleshootingskills.
Relationship management and conflict resolutionmanagement.
Experience with telephonytechnologies.
Exposure to broad spectrum of ITapplications and IT architecture.
Working in crossfunctional teams and the ability to work as part of a virtualteam.
Ability to multitask and prioritizeeffectively.
Candidate must be a selfmotivated problemsolver operating with limited supervision to help achieve goals fora global team.
Onsite position
Degree incomputer science for IT or related.
Networkcertification nice to have.
