JobDescription :

As a Field ServiceTechnician you are part of our services support team and yourpassion for providing exceptional customer service contributes toour world class high level of customer satisfaction.

Acting as afirst line response to customers onsite in your assigned territoryyou will communicate in an open helpful and engaging manner withyour focus being finding the right solution with eachcustomer.

You will connect with our customers toaddress questions and resolve various problems onsite (someuncommon) knowing when and who to turn to for support.

You willorganize triage customer issues and even handle some problemsbefore they start. No matter the situation your formal training(provided through NCR) will allow you to provide customers whatthey need when they need it.

Additionally you will always be on thelookout for preventative measures you can take escalate issues andserve as an ambassador for the NCR brand.

Your goal is to keep ourcustomers completely assured and satisfied through your technicalexpertise and consistent and constant communication.

YOU ARE :

Exceptional at communicating with customers (bymaintaining strong relationships handling problems before theystart and making sure customers have what they need when they needit).

In fact thats your specialty. Oh and you have some greatformal training (or considerable experience) in tech systems andknow the ins and outs of products like large servers mainframecomputers and imaging software.

In this role youll work on a widerange of highlevel procedures and activities applying attention todetail and keen accuracy while resolving various uncommon problemsknowing when and who to turn to for support.

YOU CAN EXPECT TO :

  • Service electromechanical equipment like ATMsand selfcheckout systems within an assigned territorywith the goalof keeping our customers completely assured andsatisfied.
  • Perform hardware maintenanceinstallation network management multivendor maintenance andsoftware support.
  • Unleash your manual skillson products like peripherals large system printers small andenterprise level servers communications equipment networks and itemprocessing sorters.
  • Build great workingrelationships among colleagues and customers based on our customerService Level Agreements (SLAs). When issues come up your job is torespond them by either handling them or by pulling in the properassociate team member or territory manager who can.
  • Perform maintenance repair and system overhauls as amatter of routine (like modular swaps and unit replacements). Youllsurely always be on the lookout for preventative measures you cantake to correct any and all technical problems before theyhappen.
  • Capture customer information so thatwe can complete any invoicing as well as stay in contact to ensurewere providing the best possible service.

YOU HAVE :

  • Must have a valid Canadian applicable provincial driverslicense (not a learner permit) and clean driving record thatsatisfies NCR fleet requirements
  • Canadiancitizen or permanent resident company sponsorship is notavailable
  • Must have valid passport to travelto the US for training.
  • Ability to performessential functions of the job with or without a reasonableaccommodation
  • Essential functions of thisposition include prolonged travel with driving several hours perday rotating and weekend shifts carrying and lifting tools partsand equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Up to three years ofrelated experience (but more than that is always aplus).
  • A Certification PC skills basicelectronic skills Knowledge of computer Networking (CISCO) and somespecific hardware and operating system familiarity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and currentWindows operating systems.
  • Knowledge ofsystems architecture database management systems and network andsystems management systems.
