General Accountant

Rize HR is currently searchingfor a corporate / general accountant to join a large supportive teamto perform a wide range of accounts payable accountingadministrative and office support activities for the department andmanagers to facilitate the efficient operation of theorganization.

The position requires 13years experience with accounts payable or accounting. Enrollment inan accounting program or a degree would be an asset.

The candidatemust be detail oriented and have experience with accounts payablereconciling and analyzing accounts. Expertise with Yardi Excel andother Microsoft Office features is preferred.

Reporting into the Controllersuccessful candidates will be driven professional able to pick upquickly and support a largeteam.

AccountsPayable

Processing invoicesfor the assignedportfolio :

• Coding invoicesfor review
• Obtaining all therelevant invoicedocumentation
• Matching invoices andpurchase orders
• Entering andrecording of approved invoices in Yardi Voyager in a timely mannerwith accuracy
• Processing monthlyrecurring accounts payableentries
• Managing chequesigningprocess
• Maintaining accounts payablefiles

GeneralAccounting

• MonthlyReporting
• Printing financialstatements and other related reports fromYardi
• Assisting with thedistribution of the reports andstatements
• Budget ComparisonSummaries
• Management SummaryReports
• Responsible for assistingwith accounts receivable asneeded
• Cocoordinating and managingthe bank deposits and bank run (asneeded)
• Bank reconciliations asassigned
• Filing invoices and otherdocuments as assigned
• Mailnotifications to tenants asassigned
• Updating reports andtracking status of tenant leasedocuments
• Other related functionsand projects asneeded

GeneralOfficeResponsibilities

• Generalclerical duties including photocopying andmailing
• Schedule and coordinatemeetings
