Job Description :
The Technical Scrum Master will serve as a facilitator for Agile teams using Scrum methodologies, guiding the development of our cutting-edge gaming products.
This role is essential in ensuring the seamless execution of Agile processes, promoting collaboration, and driving continuous improvement within the team.
A portion of this role will involve hands-on coding, so candidates must be prepared to contribute directly to product development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guide, create, and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services.
- Foster self-organization, cross-functional skills, and effective communication within the Scrum team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making and support project or product teams.
- Resolve team impediments in coordination with other Scrum Masters to enhance the effectiveness of Scrum methodology.
- Exemplify and promote Agile values and principles, contributing to the continuous improvement of Agile practices.
- Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Take part in hands-on coding tasks as part of the team’s development process.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of product / project development experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with hands-on coding expertise.
- Scrum certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience working with teams of 10+ developers and QA teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks or methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Agile development tools such as Jira, Linear, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
- Solid understanding of traditional project management principles and practices.
Work Hours :
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
- Occasional overtime and / or weekends as needed and approved by the manager / supervisor.
Location :
This position is fully onsite at our downtown Vancouver office.
