RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design, Configure, install, deploy, and support of base building networks.
• General duties include implementation, operation, troubleshooting, management and optimization of routers,
• switches, firewalls, and other related network equipment
• Regular assessments of network devices configurations, access-lists, and security policies
• Assist in the design and enhancements of network communications and solutions.
• Perform systems upgrades and patching (software and hardware)
• Train employees on new systems and enhancements.
• Third level support.
• Dealing with escalated network support issues.
• On-Call for afterhours emergency
• Mentoring junior Network staff

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :

• 5+ years of experience in configuration of enterprise grade networks and wireless networks
• Network logical design, implementation, and Second or Third Level Support of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN appliances, IDS / IPS etc.
• Switching environment such as VLANs, STP, IGMP
• Routing environments such as VRF, HSRP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF etc.)
• Network Security such as 802.1x, DHCP, Sticky MAC, MAC Learning
• Firewall Configuration such as policies, content filtering, etc.
• Enterprise WIFI networks
• Monitoring systems and protocols (SNMP, Syslog, etc )
• Familiarity of enterprise VoIP, PSTN, and telecommunications standards and protocols (MPLS, ISDN) will be considered a strong asset

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

• Fully Bilingual is required - English and FrenchDegree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education / certifications / experience
• CCNP (Routing and Switching) certification or equivalent
• Excellent understanding of ethernet switching and routing, and the ability to apply this knowledge to any new networking device
• Familiarity with Juniper, Cisco products and a variety of device manufacturers
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills with a high-level attention to detail
